Buckhorn Steakhouse absolutely lived up to the hype. The food and drinks were incredible, my steak was cooked perfectly, exactly how I ordered it, tender and full of flavor. And I have to say, their espresso martini was one of the best I’ve ever had! Smooth, rich, and dangerously good. Everything from the quality to the overall experience was top notch. Definitely a must stop in Winters, and I can’t wait to come back!
We visited Buckhorn Steakhouse to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary after it was highly recommended by a coworker—and it did not disappoint! From the ease of making reservations online to the warm welcome we received upon arrival, everything was seamless. The staff was incredibly polite and courteous, creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Our food was absolutely on point—every bite was delicious and cooked to perfection. The service was prompt with great attention to detail, making our special evening feel even more memorable. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend!
I have been going to the Buckhorn for years, literally decades. They have fantastic food and a fun atmosphere. The full service bar serves food if you have difficulty finding a seat without reservations. If you want a table with full service, you better make those reservations because it's a popular place and it was packed the night I went with my wife. The Buckhorn put Winters on the map as a top-notch steakhouse and many other fine restaurants have sprung up around it, riding the Buckhorn's coattails. If you happen to find yourself in Winters, treat yourself to a meal at the Buckhorn. It's not the cheapest and you can expect to spend $25+ per person but you'll love your meal.
The lounge area, which was where we were for a private event, was cozy. It had a lodge kind of vibe to it. My drinks were well made. The appetizers were tasty. They prepared a charcuterie board that looked amazing. Beings steakhouse, I doubt they will have vegetarian options I would order, so I can't say I would return for a meal. It is a good location to host a chill event.
Very nice restaurant. I recommend the smash potatoes. Meat is well prepared and cooked.
Consistently a good experience at Buckhorn Steakhouse. It is a bit pricey, but you get generous portions, so always some leftovers to enjoy later. I got the Shrimp Linguini and it was excellent. They have a good selection of drinks for any taste. Decent kid’s menu so you can dine something any kid will like.
This is our third or fourth time coming to the Buckhorn, over the course of the last several years. We’re out-of-towners but the decent menu prices and consistently good food always brings us back. The bread is excellent, warm & fluffy with delicious whipped butter on the side. The wedge salad is fresh and crisp, quite possibly one of the best wedges I’ve ever eaten. The truffle parm fries are bomb. The Cajun steak bites are perfect for our teens. The adults always order the bone-in ribeye. Unfortunately this time, our steak was cooked medium, not medium rare per our request. It was Father’s Day, and we already waited a while for our food so we didn’t want to mention the discrepancy and have to wait even longer for a new steak. Another blunder was our party was seated in the corner window and it was swarming with flies. It was quite annoying. A fly was wedged between our plate and asparagus- it was a turn off but we just removed it and carried on. Aside from that, it’s a great steakhouse, I highly recommend!
